Let’s make WFH meetings fun again!
I’ve got a bit of a WFH (working from home) problem. A problem, I think many of us face really. Apparently, my lounge doesn’t look anything like a professional work environment, sterile, clean, and full of dull office desks! Who would’ve guessed 🤨
Behind me currently sits a couch, TV, coffee table full of legos, gym equipment, breakfast leftovers, and a pile of laundry that nearly touches the ceiling! Okay, that last one isn’t entirely true, but the “chair-robe” is in full effect.
So when it comes to Zoom (and MS Teams) meetings, thank goodness for blurred backgrounds. I just imagine my work colleagues seeing my blurred background and imagining the pristine, carefully curated, and expertly designed area in which I work at home.
But really blurred backgrounds are a bit boring and truth be told- every time I see one, I imagine the dump I live in and think others are hiding the same dirty dishes I am.
Now Zoom offers some nice alternative ones but I decided to go for a wee search and found some suitable (and “eye-catching”) backgrounds to help brighten up those (sometimes) dull backgrounds. I found a few nice ones, with close to normal perspectives (so you don’t look like you’re sitting behind some 80s b-roll greenscreen) but also a few fun ones (well I think they are fun 🤷🏽♂️).
Hopefully, these give you a chuckle or at least make your meeting participants sit up and take notice. ‘Man, {insert your name} sure is funny as all heck with these backgrounds!’
